Series 1, 2 and 4 of record group 60-12 consist of records of the Michigan Department of Conservation, Fish Division. Includes: correspondence of the Fish Division (1900-43), including memoranda, policy statements, reports and clippings accumulated by Fred Westerman; correspondence from the chief of the Division to the Emergency Conservation Work program (1933-37), mainly policy memoranda relating to programmatic development of the Division's lake, stream, hatchery and feeding station projects and the establishment of work camps; and correspondence relating to the Seymour Bower Memorial Library (1932-41), which was transferred in 1932 to the Michigan State Library.
